Privacy Policy

Data We Collect

AICheck can scan photos or videos that you pick, capture with the camera, paste from the clipboard, or share into the app. The app does not require an account for scanning.

When you choose a file, AICheck reads Content Credentials metadata to look for a cryptographic provenance claim. If an image has no verifiable Content Credentials, the app asks for permission before running cloud AI analysis. If you approve, the selected image, its media type, and a temporary app install identifier are sent to NIRO's backend, which forwards the image to Hugging Face's hosted detector. If you cancel, no cloud AI service receives the image.

How We Use Data

We use selected media only to provide Content Credentials verification and, when you approve it, image analysis. Local scan history is stored on your device. AICheck does not use your media for identity verification, medical decisions, credit decisions, or legal proof.

Biometric and Face Data

AICheck does not collect biometric face data, face templates, faceprints, facial identity information, or biometric identifiers. AICheck does not identify people. The app evaluates media provenance and, only after permission for unsigned images, requests an AI / Real / Unsure result from the hosted detector.

Third-Party Processing

Hugging Face receives only the image you explicitly approve for cloud AI analysis and processes it to return a detector result. We do not sell submitted images, and we require service providers to protect data used for AICheck at least as carefully as described in this policy.

Retention

Local scan history is stored on your device and can be cleared by deleting the app data or uninstalling the app. NIRO's backend does not keep approved cloud-analysis images after the request completes, except for transient processing needed to return the result and standard server logs used for security and abuse prevention.

No Resale

AICheck does not sell your submitted videos, personal information, or detection history.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, including under GDPR or CCPA, you may request access, deletion, correction, or portability of your personal data. You may also object to or restrict certain processing.
